DDMA is the Dutch branche organisation for marketing and data. Their 275 members bring and acquire knowledge about data to communicate to their target groups in a more relevant way. In respect thereof, DDMA organises events to network and exchange knowledge, sometimes in coorpration with some members. DDMA members are required to comply with the applicable privacy laws and the codes of conduct (gedragscodes). In addition, DDMA acts a spokes person for its members towards the stakeholders in Brussels and The Hague as to different issues related to the development of a sustainable data economy.
The use of data requires responsible behaviour. Therefore, DDMA supports its members with legal advice on matters as data security and privacy law. In addition, DDMA founded the privacy hallmark (Privacy Waarborg). The hallmark controls organisations as to their use of personal data in their advertising activities.
